Lama Temples, Confucious, and the Bird's Nest

 Today my friend and I didn't have class so we decided to go explore around Beijing. The first place that we went to was the Lama Temples. When we got there there were a lot of locals doing their daily religious rituals, I was just trying not to look like a total foreigner. When we got there they gave us a huge bundle of inscense to burn and we had to figure out how to properly use them. Then we went to the Temple of Confucious which was interesting but weird because absolutely no one was there. Lastly, we went to the bird's next where they held the Olympics in 2008.

  

The Forbidden City

The pollution today was really bad so we made the theme of Valentine's Day this year in Beijing to be: always use protection.

I hope some people enjoyed that. So today we went to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden city. It was pretty awesome so I will probably go back when the weather is a little better.
